Wendy Williams’ Brother Says Talk Show Host Grieving Her Divorce and Mother’s Death Only Added to Her Struggles; Admits He Initially Lacked Empathy

Wendy Williams’ brother talks about how the talk show veteran dealt with their mother’s untimely death. The younger brother further mentioned that his sister struggled to balance her mother’s relocation and divorce from her ex-husband.

Thomas “Tommy” Williams gave an exclusive interview to The US Sun, detailing some of the personal trauma his big sister has experienced over the past two years. He also shared how he thinks she will be okay with her life after TV.

The most notable “shock” in the former radio personality’s life was the loss of her mother, Shirley Williams. Williams has spoken about the public feud between him and his sister, and how he rejected his sister on social media when she did not attend their mother’s funeral.

“We’ve all been struggling and I can definitely speak for myself is the passing of our mother, the mother of the family. He was involved before admitting that he should have dealt with his anger with his sister in private.” I was a bit aggressive in appearing and unsympathetic as I should have been. , or supportive as I should have been. This was an extraordinary reaction.”

This “unacceptable” backlash occurred at the top of the year when Williams took to YouTube to create a video titled “Mom on My Mind…Good Morning Tommy Katz.”

“What makes someone not go to their mother’s funeral? I don’t understand not saying hello to the only person who was always there and showed you support,” he said in a YouTube video. “I don’t understand how you can go ahead and act like nothing happened.”

Wendy Williams, who Tommy claimed did not attend her mother’s butts, also publicly retaliated on her platform, “The Wendy Williams Show” which has much more followers than his 14.7K YouTube channel.

She said, “I see a lot of comments about ‘your brother doesn’t like you’ or ‘you’d better watch your back because your brother is standing on one’ or ‘Wendy, I can’t believe you’re that kind of person. “

“Tommy, let me tell you something right now,” she said, looking straight into the camera. “All you are is my brother. You better stop talking the way you do because it is now leaking to my comment page.”

“You brother; let’s keep it that way. If you want to talk online, you talk about things you think you know about yourself. I noticed you don’t want to talk about things I know about you… sure.

Months later, family ties had fallen apart and the siblings were in a good place. Tommy Williams shares that a lot of this has to do with their father.

“Fortunately I had a patriarch who was able to talk to me and say, ‘Tommy, you might want to call your sister. Everyone handles things differently, plus she’s dealing with her divorce from Kevin,'” he shared with the post.

Tommy Williams also saluted his sister for including her mother in her documentary, “Wendy Williams: What a Mess!”

“She honored my mother, and this is such a big celebration. It really is a gift she gave to the family – a gift no one else in our family can give… to be able to watch my mother in all those old Wendy clips,” the 54-year-old reflected.

Last week, various reports indicated that Williams’ health is getting so bad that her production company is looking for a replacement host for her show. As The Wendy Williams Show wraps up its thirteenth season, many have competed for the chance to permanently sit on the coveted purple chair.

An insider told Radar Online, “The hosts were only supposed to keep the show’s lights on until Wendy was good enough to come back. It was assumed that without Wendy, the audience wouldn’t be watching, but it wasn’t.”

One celebrity in particular seems to stand out from the rest. “When Sherry Shepherd took over, not only did she retain all of Wendy’s fans, but she also brought in a whole new audience as well.”

There are no official reports that Wendy Williams has finished television. However, Tommy Williams seems to think that if she is, “that’s not a big deal.”

“I can’t think of a time in her career when I was worried about Wendy. I just can’t. She’s been through so much. I’ve been there with her a lot,” he told The Sun.
