Jeremy Bond: Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.

This is from around the corner from Wolverhampton in the Premier League table. To make matters worse, they’re all on the list for the next three weeks. So yeah…not a lot of fun.

So, to say Wolverhampton face the definition of where to win against Burnley would be a real understatement.

Sure enough, Clarett have only suffered one loss in their last seven league games and are more comfortable after the snow fell last weekend. However, they were one of the worst defensive teams in the Premier League, getting one chance and conceding 20 brutal goals in 13 games.

Bottom line, this is an absolute three-point target for the host side with such a brutal expanse of fixtures waiting for them. If the club is unable to emerge victorious, this could be a turning point in his season and crush his dreams of making European football next season.

However, I play this match live and back Wolves on the 3-way money line at -110 odds via DraftKings and make it my top pick.

Brit PoundLeicester City are making a midweek trip to Southampton for a game where I expect to see a lot of goals.

However, my best bet for this competition is the same game that combines both teams to score (yes) with a total of over 2.5 goals at odds of -110.

For both clubs, their advanced offensive metrics are much better than defensive stats. The Foxes enter this game fourth in the number of expected goals without penalties per game (1.46), but they are 18th in shots allowed per 90 minutes (15.7) and 13th in NPxG allowed/game (1.47) this season.

Southampton has similar numbers. Head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl scored the seventh most in an NPxG match (1.24), but the Saints ranked 12th in the same stat defensively and 18th in big scoring chances allowed.

Then you look at how Leicester City have performed away from home in the league this season, with both teams betting in all six games averaging 3.33 goals per game.

Although Southampton’s home games have seen the fewest goals scored of any other team in the Premier League this season, the Saints credit some positive scoring regression based on the advanced metrics mentioned above.

I see both teams finding the back of the bet, which makes this a straightforward investment.

Bond Choice: Same game: Both teams score – yes and a total of over 2.5 goals (-110)
