Tottenham XI vs Leicester: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, injury latest for Premier League today

Antonio Conte has revealed that three of his nine covid-starred stars are expected to return from isolation in time to be in Leicester’s squad – but have only been appointed to the bench, where the coach gently rests them.

Conte said on Wednesday that his returning players will likely be limited to 10 or 15 minutes, against a Foxes who will lose nine players to illness or Covid-19.

Tottenham trained with just 16 players on Wednesday and Conte is set to include a number of youngsters on the bench.

The Italian is hoping the situation will provide an opportunity for his marginalized players, and Tanguy Ndombele, Joe Rodon and Dele Alli are all hoping to start a league game under Conte for the first time.

If Rodon is selected for the three linebacker position, Japhet Tanganga could return to the linebacker position against Matt Doherty, although he didn’t look quite comfortable there.

And in better news, Giovanni Lo Celso is expected to return from a knee injury but he may not be ready to start the match. His Argentine teammate Cristian Romero remains the only long-term absentee from Tottenham, suffering from a hamstring strain.

Tottenham XI Prediction (3-4-2-1): loris. Tanganga, Dier, Sanchez; Doherty, Winx, Ndombele, Reguilon; Bergwijn, Daily; Ken.
