Sounders FC announces roster decisions to conclude 2021 season

Seattle, Wash. Seattle Sounders Football Club announced today that it is exercising its 2022 contract options for several players, putting the club’s roster at 19 contract players ahead of next season. After Seattle’s exit from the first round of the 2021 MLS Cup Audience Qualifiers, Rave Green has officially entered the 2021-2022 season, with preparations for the upcoming campaign.

Sounders FC has rejected contract options for the following players: Nicolas Benezet, Jordi Delem, Chandon Hobo, Freddy Monteiro, Trey Moss, Spencer Ritchie and Clean Roe. In addition, Will Bruin, Stephen Cleveland and Shane O’Neill’s contract has expired. Alex Roldan’s contract has also expired, but Saunders extended him an impressive offer to stay with the club.
