Sky journalist Fabio Taveli highlighted Ante Rebic’s absence as a huge blow to Milan that is not talked about enough.
Yesterday’s afternoon was a nightmare for the Rossoneri as they lost their second consecutive Serie A match with Sassuolo’s 3-1 win over San Siro thanks to goals by Gianluca Scamaca and Domenico Berardi as well as an own goal.
Nobody produced a great game for Milan but one of the players who seemed to struggle was Rafael Leao as the Portuguese winger looked tired and rarely entered the game after long from a bright start, missing a shot in the second half. He has been asked to work overtime at the moment due to Ante Rebek’s injury.
Fabio Tafelli, speaking on the Sky microphones, spoke about Milan’s defeat to Sassuolo and about the fatigue the squad may be feeling given their lack of depth due to injuries and a hectic schedule.
“Pioli said he’s not tired either because he doesn’t want to hold on to that. We have to give great credit to Sassuolo who played well and lost matches at times because others were good. He (via Milan News) said Rebic’s absence is also not measured enough because Milan need Desperately to Rebek.
