Dr. Agarwal suggests that one should consume nutritious food, exercise regularly and get enough sleep are the most important ways to boost your immune system. Many herbal products can pose unexpected risks because they contain ingredients that have powerful effects on the body. Always consult your doctor before taking any herbal medicine, avoid prolonged use without supervision, and avoid completely if you are pregnant and breastfeeding. The doctor further explains that you should also avoid excessive intake of vitamin pills, especially those that contain high doses of fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, D, E, and K which can lead to neurological problems, high levels of calcium, muscle weakness and damage.
