Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar Tells Why A Pickle “Is A Must Have On Your Plate”

The party season may be over but we are slowly progressing towards harvest festivals like Makar Sankranti, Lohri and Pongal across the country. In this context, nutritionist Rugota Dewikar reminded us of the most delicious winter delicacy – pickles. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “The hardworking farming folk of North India harvest their winter vegetables and turn them into winter pickles to enhance their lifespan and nutritional value.” She went on to add, “Winter pickles are underrated, underrated, and underutilized delicacies.”
