San Jose, California. – The San Jose Earthquakes today revealed the club’s full regular season schedule for the 2022 Major League Soccer season. The schedule includes five televised matches nationwide, with select matches broadcast on Univision, UniMás and FOX Sports 1. Broadcast details and kick-off times will be announced. Locally televised matches in January.
The 2022 schedule will also see California’s Clasico return to Stanford for the first time since 2019, with the highly anticipated competition match against LA Galaxy taking place on Saturday, June 25. 2021 competitions, will have only four matches in 2022.
An exclusive pre-sale for Earthquakes season ticket holders to purchase additional tickets will begin on Tuesday, December 21st at 10AM PT before single game tickets are available to the public on Wednesday, December 22nd at 1PM PT. Earthquakes season ticket holders will also have the opportunity to purchase additional California Classic tickets on Tuesday, January 11 at 10 AM PT before single tickets are available to the general public on Friday, January 14 at 10 AM PT. The full schedule of 34 matches runs from Saturday 26 February to Sunday 9 October and is evenly split between the home and away matches. The Quakes will face 22 different opponents over the course of the season, including home and away matches against the other 13 teams in the Western Conference and eight singles matches against clubs from the Eastern Conference. Nashville SC, which spent its first two seasons in the NBA in the East, turned west to accommodate the expanding Charlotte FC team.
The Earthquakes play eight of their first 13 games at PayPal Park, including the opening game against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, February 26 (3 p.m. PT), which is Nashville’s first-ever trip to San Jose on Saturday, April 16 . (12:30 p.m.; Univision), and a clash with Western Conference title holders Portland Timbers on Wednesday, May 18.
San Jose then doesn’t play a game at PayPal Park for more than a month, with three consecutive road games scheduled against LAFC (May 28), Nashville (June 11), Real Salt Lake (June 18) and California’s Clasico against the USA. LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium on Saturday, June 25 (7 p.m. PT, Unimas).
