Dr. Michael Mosley often shares his tips on losing weight with skinny people online as well as on TV. He created The Fast 800 – a diet plan that helps people lose weight fast.
Dr. Mosley previously shared one of the most common “myths” when it comes to dieting: that losing weight quickly means someone who’s dieting will put it back on again faster.
The doctor explained: “In a recent review article titled ‘Myths, Assumptions, and Facts About Obesity’ in the prestigious medical journal, The New England Journal of Medicine, researchers place this claim firmly in the category of ‘myths’.
“After looking at several studies that compared rapid, slow, and steady weight loss, they concluded that it’s better to lose weight quickly rather than slowly.”

One tip is to “eat early,” according to Dr. Mosley.
He said, “In general, I encourage people to try to eat their evening meal early, from 7pm to 7:30pm.
“Try to stop eating by 8 p.m., and then don’t eat anything that has calories after that.”
This is because “the fats and sugars that you eat later at night, stay suspended in your system for much longer because your body is switched off at night.”
do not miss:
“Your digestion will be over, and we won’t really appreciate that late-night snack,” the doctor added.
However, the “key thing” is to try to limit your alcohol and caffeine intake late at night, according to Dr. Mosley, as both will likely keep you awake at night.
The nutrition expert said: “People use alcohol as a way to sleep, but the truth is that it will lead to interrupted sleep and you will wake up a lot during the night, which is very obvious.
“A nice cup of chamomile tea or a cup of ginger tea is probably your best bet at night.”
In addition to making sure they get a good night’s sleep, Dr. Mosley recommended that slimmers “stack protein on their plate” to lose weight.
He said, “It’s really important to get the right amount of protein, which is 50 to 70 grams per day.
“You can get protein mainly from meat or fish, you can also get it from legumes, but you have to eat more, which is why Fast 800 on a vegetarian diet is more challenging.
“We already have meal replacement drinks that are very high in protein, and we’re also aiming to produce protein boosters, to help people who might otherwise struggle with it.”
Dr. Mosley added: “The reason for protein is that you need it for your muscles.
“You need it for all kinds of basic metabolic processes.
“And also because when you consume it, it gets digested slower by your body so you don’t get the same kind of peaks.”
Another easy tip Dr. Mosley recommended for skinny people is to “keep a healthy snack on the side.”
He continued, “The best way to prevent hunger when intermittent fasting is to use something like a meal replacement shake.
Follow the Fast 800 program because it has been carefully calibrated to ensure that it gives you maximum nutrients and maximum fiber and protein.
The reason people get hungry is because they ate something very high in sugar or carbohydrates, so they get a massive spike in their blood sugar levels and then they crash and then they get hungry.”
Dr. Mosley advised eating something that has a lot of fiber in it as this will curb your appetite.
In person, the doctor said he would “go for a small handful of nuts or something” if he was going to have a snack.
“And that really takes the edge off,” he added.
