George, Charlotte and Louis have two birthdays
There is no doubt that Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are excited about the festivities this year.
And if they spend Christmas with the Queen in Norfolk, children of the royal family may find they have two Christmas celebrations this year.
Etiquette expert and former royal expert Grant Harold explained the royal family’s festive gift traditions.
Mr Harold said: “Children can still spend Christmas morning like every other kid in the country, we hope, and open their presents on Christmas morning.
“With members of the royal family, Christmas is for the Queen more than anything else about having the family together.
“Spend this time with all of them, spend time with grandkids and great-grandchildren, and have that little tradition of fun Christmas gifts with afternoon tea.
“And then, I suppose you’ll call it ‘Christmas dinner’ because they have a big dinner in the evening, but the next day they’ll have lunch.”
