Matthew Macfadyen shares his honest feelings about his wife Kelly Howes’ sex scenes on Netflix’s Personal guard.
The Succession The actor, 47, recently admitted that he gets “a little bit” irritated when he sees Howes, 45, being intimate with her actor Richard Madden on the series, which premiered on BBC One in 2018. “It’s weird. Just,” he said times.
“You can get so close to the actors you work with and all that stuff. It’s weird,” added MacFadden, who met Howes on the set of BBC One. ghosts in 2002.

As a fellow actor, MacFadden said he understands that filming a sex scene is “the least sexy thing you can imagine.”
Howes starred in Personal guard As Home Secretary, MP Julia Montague, who develops a relationship with her veteran bodyguard David Budd (Madden) despite their differing views. The show became known for its steamy sex scenes.
Madden, 35, previously told PEOPLE that a possible second season of the show might be in the cards. He said in December 2018: “It is definitely a possibility. I will meet well [Mercurio] Writer tomorrow, in fact. I think we should probably have a glass of champagne and do some talking.”

Howes tied the knot with McFadden in November 2004. The couple share two children, daughter Maggie, 16, and son Ralph, 15, and McFadden is stepfather to Howes’ first son Miles, 21, from her previous marriage to Spencer McCallum.
Macfadyen can currently be seen playing Tom Wambsgans on HBO’s SuccessionIt was renewed for a fourth season last month.
