Mariska Hargitay confronts singer interrupting ‘Law & Order’ filming

I set the law.

As if “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” star Mariska Hargitay wasn’t bad enough: a talk clip showed the Emmy-winning actress sprinting into action to save a shot from an annoying lyrical man. The amazing Twitter clip has amassed over 42,000 views as of Thursday morning.

The Epic 30 second video, captured in Washington Square Park, shows Hargitay, 57 – who plays Captain Olivia Benson on NBC’s crime campaign – diplomatically telling the vocal intruder to stop singing, because he was hindering production.

Your singing was beautiful, but we’re just trying to take the picture,” the actress politely said to the man standing away from the camera. “Is it okay not to sing when we say, ‘work’?”

According to the Twitter user who posted the video (per Variety), bystanders were singing loudly with the intention of disrupting filming and repeatedly ignored crew members’ requests to stop. That’s when Hargitay intervenes in an attempt to restore “order”.

Later in the clip, the guy offered to stop his performance in exchange for a favor from the “Lake Placid” star – although his request was unfathomable.

“We’ll make a deal,” Hargitay replied. “I’m glad to do it for you—it’s just that we’re shooting, so it just doesn’t work out for the scene. Is that okay? I’ll get to you, though.”

And it seemed as if her ambassador approach worked like magic: Twitter The poster wrote that the clips “He ended up leaving after the interaction” – but reportedly came back shortly afterwards.
