Rangnick first met Sharp at the New York Red Bulls where he worked as a performance analyst – a move that boosts United’s backroom team following the departures of Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.

Toronto Sun He once described how Sharp played an important role in “opponent reconnaissance, match planning, match and post-match analysis. The reconnaissance department also aided in identification and recruitment.”
