Lala Kent Says She Had Her ‘Head in the Sand’ About Issues with Randall Emmett ‘for a Really Long Time’

Lala Kent is opening up more about her split from ex-fiancé Randall Emmett.

In her Wednesday episode give them lala Podcast, 31 years old Vanderpump rules The star said that she “has been putting her head in the sand for a really long time” when it came to problems in their relationship.

Although she didn’t go into detail about the breakup, she did make it clear that she didn’t hesitate to end things when she “felt insecure.”

“The second time I felt insecure – I said this in therapy – I said, ‘The second I got a hole in my stomach, it’s going to be a different conversation,'” she said. “I got this hole and got out of there. No questions asked.”

The beauty mogul first hinted at a breakup with Emmett, 50, in October, when she removed all traces of the film producer from her social media. She later confirmed the news on her podcast in November.

“I want to admit that I’m sure everyone knows what’s going on between me and Randall and just in my personal life,” Kent said.

“There will be a time when I feel comfortable enough to open up and share. Today is definitely not that day,” she added. “It was a lot, I went through a lot.”

While Kent and Emmett are no longer together, the couple appears to be planning their wedding during the current season of Vanderpump rules. During Wednesday’s podcast episode, Kent admitted that it was “very difficult” for her to watch the season for several reasons.

“I was someone who thought I was in a completely different situation than I was,” she said, adding that she may have been “interfering with other people’s relationships” as a way of expressing her concerns at the time.

“All I know is a lot of stuff…that got me in, and my comments didn’t progress well, and I’m fine with that,” she said.

She added that she expected to address this behavior in the meeting next season: “I think a lot of him will talk about it and we will have to answer a lot of these things.”

After their split last month, a source told PEOPLE that Kent was “completely shocked” by the end of her relationship with Emmett after more than three years together.

“Lala was very shocked by all this and has been living in the dark for a long time,” the source said. “But now she is doing her best to keep her chin up and move forward with taking care of her daughter and providing for her family.”

Despite the turmoil, the source added that the reality star is “now focusing all her attention on the well-being of her daughter Ocean and keeping up with her many business ventures to provide for her family as a single mother.”

Kent and Emmett got engaged in September 2018 and planned to get married in April 2020, but their marriage has been postponed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
