On Friday, Jennifer Lawrence’s parents and her husband, Cook Maroney, went looking for a home in New York City, searching the East Village area with a real estate agent. Lawrence approached the end of her pregnancy, wearing a loose green maternity dress under a trench coat with navy tights and Mary Jane flats.
In August last year, Lawrence sold her Manhattan penthouse for $9.9 million, which was originally listed for $15.45 million. She moved into a property in West Village, a brand new townhouse for $22 million. It is unclear if there are plans to put this property up for sale as well.
Lawrence has taken a break from acting in recent years, but this year she’s back for a new Netflix movie do not searchAlso starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. Lawrence went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this month. Colbert asked her what she had been doing for the past three years.
“I’ve had a lot of sex,” she joked, pointing to her little belly.
Colbert congratulated her, and Lawrence got more serious and said, “I’m kidding. Um, I cooked a little. The pestilence happened and after that I cooked and cleaned a lot.”
She added that if she retired from acting completely, she would consider a new career.
“I think I’d be a really good housekeeper,” Lawrence said with a laugh. “No, I really do. I make a mess, but I’m really good at cleaning it up. I can attack the mess.”
In an interview with Vanity FairIn November, Lawrence gave a deeper answer as to why she had stepped back from the spotlight to start a family.
“I didn’t have a life,” she said. “I thought I should go get one.”
