Pep Guardiola spoke ahead of this weekend’s Premier League trip to Newcastle United.
Looking back at St James’ Park on Sunday, the City boss gave his latest injury update and team news as well as discussing the threat posed by Newcastle’s Eddie Howe side despite a difficult start to the season.
Guardiola also urged his side to keep up our fantastic momentum and praised Jack Grealish’s contribution following England’s superb goal in Tuesday’s impressive 7-0 win over Leeds.
“Everyone is fit, it’s just Ferran (Torres) missing. Joao (Cancelo) is back after (his suspension against Leeds) and we will travel to Newcastle with everyone ready to play.”

“It’s not easy to go to Newcastle and get a result from that we will need the whole team and hopefully we can be strong enough to get the points.
“Newcastle is a very tough opponent. People will talk about where we are in the table or where they are in the table but when you go to Newcastle you know what kind of game to expect.
“Now they have a new manager in my hands [Howe] We know how good a manager is.
“It’s been a tough start to the season but they are a good team with good players and a great coach so we are going there and we have to work hard for each other to win the game.
“Every Premier League game is tough. Whether you’re playing against teams at the top of the table or at the bottom.
“Everyone wants to win every game and at this level you have to be prepared for that.

“Newcastle in their stadium with their fans behind them, they will be ready and have the quality to hurt us if we don’t play at our best.
“The most important thing is the next match. And the next and the next.
“We try not to look behind us too much because when you do, you lose your focus. It’s important not to look at the last result and think ‘we are there.'”
“We are playing well and getting the results we want, but we have to continue this.
“You need to score goals to win matches, it’s no secret. We found a way to score goals from different places in different ways and Tuesday was a good example.
“Scoring goals also brings confidence to the team and the players and that will be important in helping us win the next match. If they know they can score goals like this, that confidence will help us achieve our goals.”
“Jack (Grealish) is a great player. He has a lot of quality and he played really well for us.
“It’s important for every player to feel like he’s contributing to the goals but he’s been playing well all season and we know what to expect from him.
“It takes time to get used to a new team, a new way of playing but Jack knows what he has to do and we will continue to see that.”
