Five teams will participate in first place tonight, in a bid to reach the Super 7 next week at Birmingham’s new Protective Stadium.
Tonight’s state semifinal rounds include the top-rated teams in 6A (Clay-Chalkville), 5A (Pike Road), 4A (Madison Academy), 3A (Montgomery Catholic), and 1A (Brantley).

These teams will try to join Thompson and Central-Phenix City, who have already earned places in the Class 7A game.

7:05 p.m., blind landing: Walter Taylor III hits Tylen Campbell with a 31-yard TD pass. Jackson takes TD’s opening match against Vigor. Aggies lead 7-0.
7:02 p.m., rotation begins: Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa forced and regained his stumble in the opening game in Hueytown. Hillcrest with the ball at Hueytown 25.

6:50 p.m., replay of the match on mobile: It will host Vigor Jackson in the 4A semifinals at Blount High School. The Wolves defeated the Aggies 39-13 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium earlier this year. Jackson has not lost since.
6:46 p.m., Panther Pride: Mars Hill is also trying to get back in the state championship match. The Panthers face Cleveland tonight in the 2A semifinals. We are less than 15 minutes away.
6:44 PM, back to Super 7: Pleasant Grove will attempt a comeback for the third year in a row tonight against surprising Fairview. The Spartans lost in each of the last 2 titles of Category 5A games.
6:37 p.m. Attack vs. Defense: Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Tonight may not be the 6A semi-final between high-octane Clay Chalkville and Scrooge Brook Mountain.
6:30 pm Mr. Football? Is the man under Mister Football? Earl Woods put in some huge numbers for Hueytown this fall. Tonight he hopes to get Gopers for the title game Category 6A.
