Brooke Shields is giving her Instagram followers some ’90s nostalgia with her latest bouncy pics featuring model Claudia Schiffer. They’re the perfect flashback for the festive season because the lavish event they’ve been attending for nearly 30 years seems to have been a very festive one for Cartier.
Shield called the photo, “Christmas atcartier withclaudiaschiffer, but we did some digging, and the duo was attending the inaugural Cartier exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. (See photo here.) The event took place on March 31, 1997, and Shields was 32 years old at that. At the time, Scheffer was 27 years old (both appear to be in their early twenties.) Both wore gorgeous champagne gowns, which perfectly complemented the red and gold Cartier outfits worn by the men around them. Schiffer captioned the adorable photo with a heart emoji. .

Shields recently recalled her ’80s modeling days with reflections on her interview with Barbara Walters, who asked uncomfortable questions about the 15-year-old star’s sexuality. She described the interrogation line as “practically criminal” because it was “not journalism.” At the time, Shields was a pop culture phenomenon due to its Calvin Klein jeans ads with slogans like, “Want to know what’s going on between me and my Calvins? Nothing.” Sexual allusions were rife in advertisements that were criticized and praised at the same time.
After growing up a star child, it took Shields some time to come to terms with a sense of self and purpose, which she says didn’t happen until she “pregnant.” [her] The first child “in 2003.” I’m finally my character now,” I explained to her Watchman. “It took me so many years, because if you grow up to be accountable to someone, accountable to the public, there are so many different things that we get wrapped up in.”
