After a cautious opening, Chelsea began to dominate as the first half continued without creating any real chances.

Five minutes later, Jorginho made the score safe as he calmly netted a penalty after Brentford goalkeeper Alvaro Fernandez beat Pulisic.
Tuchel has a chance to fight for his third title at Chelsea after victories in the Champions League and European Super Cup.
