Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has charged a seventh of rape.
Mendy, 27, who has already been charged with a series of sexual offenses, was charged last week with another rape charge, but that was subject to reporting restrictions.
The restrictions were lifted on Wednesday as Mindy appeared in Chester Crown Court for a hearing before his trial next year.
The charge relates to a new complaint that allegedly occurred in July of this year.
Mendy is now charged with eight crimes against five different women, including seven counts of rape involving four women.
The previous charges are three counts of rape, allegedly occurring on October 11, 2020. Sexual touching on January 2, 2021; One count of rape on July 24, 2021 and two counts of rape on August 23, 2021.
Mendy appears alongside co-defendant Louis Saha Matori of Eccles, Greater Manchester, who is also accused of serious sexual crimes against young women.
The French international, has been detained since his arrest on 26 August.
Both men were placed in custody at HMP Altcourse, Liverpool after a 40-minute hearing as their trial scheduled for January was rerun to later this year.
