Barcelona’s special request to be able to sign Erling Haaland

FC Barcelona really wants to sign Erling Haaland, but the biggest hurdle is the cost. The Borussia Dortmund striker is one of the world’s hottest transfer targets, and his signature could potentially cost a fortune. Barcelona is still recovering from the economic crisis caused by years of mismanagement that intensified when the pandemic broke out.

One of the ways the Catalans hope to reduce the cost of transportation is to reduce agent fees. Club president Joan Laporta is said to have met up with Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, and obviously one of the main reasons for doing so is to see if Barcelona can land him.

It is said that Raiola believes Barcelona is a good destination for his clients as he will be the number one star in the squad and can grow alongside a young team. But the bloggers want a 50% reduction in Raiola’s commission in order to pay the transfer fee and still be able to offer a massive salary into the future.

Rumors continue to say that Barcelona will be able to afford the player if he can get rid of Philippe Coutinho’s massive contract and also move on to a few of the squad’s high-income players. But that is only if Raiola cuts his demands for the agent’s fees.
