Aussie Reporter Who Missed Adele Album, Flubbed Interview Apologizes

The reporter who failed to give an interview Adele For not listening to her new album, he just chugged on his airwaves… and even described what we’ll never see.

Australian magazine Matt Duran, of Channel 7’s Weekend Sunrise, ended one of his clips this week with a complete apology to Adele, her Australian fans, and viewers in general… for what he called a missed opportunity, all because he didn’t properly check his inbox.

Doran reiterated what he already said last week…namely, the reason he didn’t hear “30” before sitting down is because he didn’t check a link that Sony emailed on the 11th. hour, which ended up previewing the entire album.

While chatting in early November – long before she fell – Doran says he confessed to Adele that he hadn’t heard everything yet… but made it clear what happened next.

Contrary to some reports claiming that she left the interview abruptly upon hearing this – apparently offended by his lack of knowledge – Doran insists the opposite happened… According to him, they ended the interview, which he says ran over time, though Adele is blissful.

He also summarized exactly what they discussed – seeing how the interview would never see the light of the day, thanks to the poster I put on it.

It looks like they got into some heavy stuff, so it’s a pity we’ll never see her again. Anyway… I hope Adele will forgive him – as he asks here – because it looks like MD has gotten really well into the album weeds and then some since his mistake.
